FAQ
Are products past their "best before" date safe?
Yes. The "best before" date relates to quality (taste, texture, aroma) but not to the food safety of the product. A product past its "best before" date remains safe to eat as long as it is in satisfactory condition.
What is the difference between the "best before" and "use by" date?
Products with a "use by" date are never sold after that date – it's actually against the law. Only products with a "best before" date can be sold.
Is there an advantage for me?
Absolutely! In addition to helping us reduce food waste, you benefit from reduced prices on products that are still perfectly edible.
